Things You Avoid by Working at Home
According to the third law of nature, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. To put it in another way, there are consequences for everything you do, even if it’s working from home. Here is a list of the things you avoid when you work at home First, you avoid commuting altogether. Shuttling to and from an office away from home contributes to higher traffic volume on the streets, higher chances of being late for work, higher chances of going overtime just to finish work, higher chances of getting a raise, higher chances of getting suspended or even fired, lower chances of building relationships, lower income earned which would have been better spent on food, mortgage, bills or tuition fees, and generally higher stress levels all around. Whew! But if you like keeping your work separate from your life, this may not be for you. What you avoid by working at home is exactly what you cannot avoid otherwise – working at home! Second, you avoid getting buried under more workload, gaining more control over your schedule. Burnout, fatigue and lack of quality time are some examples of what you avoid by working at home. If you’re diligent and you can cut corners while maintaining the high quality of your product or service, you can finish your work in less than five working days, then use the free time to take care of your family and friends, not least yourself. However, working from home still doesn’t guarantee shorter working hours. There will also still be times when you will have to forego important activities in order to get work done. You will still need to strike a balance between your job and your life while working from home. Finally, you avoid additional expenditures and actually manage to control your spending. Working from home sustains you with a steady flow of money, plus the portion that should have gone to transportation costs can now be spent on food, mortgage, bills and tuition fees. However, most work-at-home jobs pay by the product created or service rendered. Be cautious that you do not end up spending more than you can afford before your next paycheck arrives. Furthermore, do your research on scams that promise to pay you at least ten times – usually in the hundred-thousands and up – as much as you should earn from most work-at-home jobs, especially scams that require you to pay them first. All things considered, what you avoid by working at home is still better than what you avoid by working outside. With a little care, patience, common sense and extra thought, you can gain more time, more financial security and more peace of mind.

These are great reasons for working at home. I guess you know also that the down sides are a) you might find it hard to get going, or b) you might get too absorbed and work too long, or c) you get your children or spouse interrupting you. But I agree, working from home is way better than going out!
